A reproduction of an 1860 Pennsylvania Blanket Chest. The major difference from others of the same period are the bracket feet. Pennsylvania Blanket chest bracket feet are dovetailed together insuring a solid joint, as opposed to the common mitered bracket feet which have a tenancy to come apart.

All hardware is museum quality and correct for the era. The chest floor and drawer bottoms are lined with cedar wood. Drawer bodies are made of poplar.

There approximately 122 hand cut dovetails that were made to complete this chest to conform to the type of the period.

Dimensions: 29" high, 23" deep, 50" wide.
